She feels unapologetic for this. She in no way has to apologize because she is in the female pediatric group. The whole idea that a smaller practice group gives the females the space they require is very encouraging. For most, they say, the goal is to have more control over their own schedules and their need for family time, over the amount of time they spend with patients, and the way they practice medicine in general.
Many women are getting into this profession and hence the formation of female physician groups I but natural. A few years ago this was initially formed by three female pediatricians. Parents have the facility to work part time here. All trained together at Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center in Memphis and went on to work for large groups. Te same time as this large groups were no more interesting.
These all doctors who had responsibilities at home too came together to form this group to be able to do justice to both places home and work. Work cannot be missed by doctors who have sick children and hence they have a room that has toys and a VCR.
These women can give very helpful information about baby food brands, schools.They can also give a lot of information about women workers. There are quite a few dads who take their kids to the doctor but still it mostly is a mom’s job.
The group is being joined by a new member female pediatrician who thinks it has always been easier to talk with a mother of a patient. A male doctor, for example, is more likely to prescribe a yucky tasting antibiotic. It is but natural for a woman to want to see a female doctor when it comes to obstetrics and gynecology.
Many people dint really bother about the gender according to a survey but the majority of them said they would like to see a female obstetrician and gynecologist. A female doctor was not needed back then by groups. She set out as a lone OB GYN at a certain medical group and then later a large, multispecialty HMO. Female patients were given a lot of attention by her and she got a lot of criticism for that.
Child birth doesn’t have to result in shaving she believed. Women doctors are preferred by those who are taking their health in their own hands and being responsible for it. She was pregnant the same time as her patients 15 years ago. Menopause time has come for all now.
